The CDC explicitly notes that accreditation does not guarantee a good outcome. It also recommends researching the facility and treating professional before committing to medical care abroad. An accreditation logo cannot replace a diagnosis-specific assessment.
For a planned operation, ask which campus will admit you and which named team will treat you. Save the current listing or verification and confirm it again when the booking is finalized.

Médica Sur’s published 2024 annual report describes JCI accreditation and a 2023 reaccreditation. That is dated evidence, not an independent confirmation of the status of a later appointment. Check current status using the accreditor’s directory.
A hospital’s network affiliation or a doctor’s collaboration with another institution does not mean that the partner owns the facility or supplies your clinical team. Obtain an explanation of any collaboration that is material to your care.
Match capabilities to the proposed procedure
For cardiac surgery, cancer treatment, neurosurgery or complex orthopedic care, the diagnosis determines the team and services you need. Ask your current clinician to help assemble records for a specialist review before travel.
